The errors that are caused by the BIOS of a computer are really dangerous and annoying. This is because these types of errors do not even let you load your operating system and throw an error even before that. One such error that is caused by the BIOS is Error 0199, System Security, Security password retry count exceeded.
Error 0199, Security password retry count exceeded
This error is usually caused on Lenovo computers and if you see this error, you can try the following suggestions:
1] Update BIOS
The main solution for this is that you update the system BIOS using Lenovo System Update to the latest available version.
The 0199 error can now be cleared either by entering the correct hard drive password or entering the Administrator password to enter BIOS, F10 save and exit.
2] Reset BIOS
If that does not help, you may reset BIOS and see.
Start your computer and during the booting, press the F10 key to enter the BIOS – But it could be the F1, F2 or Del key too for your system.
Now, hit the F9 key to get the prompt to RestoreLoad default configuration now for the BIOS.
Click on Yes and follow the on-screen instructions to set the BIOS to its default settings.
Reboot your computer and check if it boots normally.
I hope this helps!
