You can add any folder to the Gallery in File Explorer. After adding that folder, Windows 11 will automatically detect all the photos in that folder (including the photos in the subfolders) and show them in Gallery. Follow the steps provided below:
- Open File Explorer.
- Select Gallery from the left side (Navigation Pane).
- Click on Collection and then select Manage Collection.
- The Gallery Locations window will appear. Click Add.
- Browse the folder on your system. Select the folder and click Include folder.
After adding a folder to File Explorer Gallery, if you want to view the photos of that folder, click on Collections in Gallery and then select your folder.

- Select the folder you want to remove and click Remove.
