When you have a Closed NAT type, it will cause trouble in establishing connections with other players in the same lobby as yours. As a result, you might get the Server Snapshot error on Call of Duty: Vanguard. SO if the scenario is applicable, change your NAT type to Open.

  4. After that, under Current Network Status and check whether the NAT Type field is Open or Closed.
  5. When done, you can change the NAT type by enabling UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) by accessing your router settings.

Check the NAT type on the PC:

In case you are encountering the error while playing the game on PC, you can follow the below steps to check the NAT type:

  1. Firstly, open the taskbar search and find and open the Xbox console companion app.
  2. Now, in the Xbox Console Companion app, press the gear icon present at the bottom-left corner and then tap on the Network tab.
  3. Next, inside the Network tab, check the status of the NAT type.
  4. After that, if the status is closed or moderate, you enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) by accessing the router settings.

Check the NAT type on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5:

For the Playstation 4 or Playstation 5 users, here are the steps to check the NAT type:

  1. Firstly, from the main dashboard on Playstation, click on the Settings menu.
  2. Now, from the appeared Settings menu, go to Network and navigate to the View Connection Status section.
  3. After that, see if the NAT type is displayed something else than Type 2. If yes, then you can try enabling UPnP from the router settings.
