The best thing to do then if you often see Close programs to prevent information loss message is to ensure that you have the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives setting enabled. This is the default setting, but you should confirm that this has not been changed.
You will find it in the Control Panel > System Properties> Performance Settings button > Performance Options > Advanced tab > Change Virtual Memory button.
If this does not help and you face this issue often, you may want to consider installing more RAM or increasing the size of your Page File or Virtual Memory.
