Whenever we snap a picture, most of the time, we would like it to give it a cool shade to make it look better. In the old days, we had a popular name in our mind for photo editing, and that was Adobe Photoshop. Though still a great photo editing software, not many can use it due to the expertise it requires.
However, if you like to give a different touch or add special effects to your images, then there are many alternatives possible. We recently came around the Cool Photo Effects app for Windows 11/10. We tried it, found it great and are therefore sharing it with our readers.
As the name suggests, Cool Photo Effects is quite capable of reproducing a variety of effects to your photos. The app claims to have 300 creative yet original effects. Let’s see what this app is offering us!
Cool Photo Effects app for Windows 11/10
The first and foremost thing about this app is that it only gives effects to the image, and allows saving the image at the original resolution. So here, you won’t get options like crop, rotate, add text, magic wand, etc. The app comes with built-in effects, and all you need to do is select an image, click the effect and its style, and finally click Apply Effect button, and you’re done; simple! Isn’t it? We found some great effects here.
The filters include:
- Black and White
- Bi-Color Effect
- Blending Effect
- Cinema
- Color Effect
- Cross Processing
- Ink Effect
- Light Effect
- Old Film
- Photo Effect
- Sepia
- Textures and Scratches
- Vignette, etc.
Here’s how you can enhance a photo. To begin, select a photo from the gallery. Then, pick the effect you want to apply and the application shows thumbnail images with many variations of the chosen filter. Select the variant you like and click Apply Effect. Enhanced photos are saved at the original resolution.
The Color Effect allows you to have different color shades (in the right-hand side) dispersed on your image.
If you use the Texture and Scratches effect, it will give you the feel of getting your image old with a glass frame over it.
The Sepia and Tint effects lets you make it into a classical image in addition to the previous effect.
One more effect we found interesting was the Light Effect – it simply created a fashionable effect and you will like it if you like to give a modern touch to your photographs.
The Refresh button at the bottom allows you to restore the original image instantly.
