LMMS was first introduced to the world as Linux MultiMedia Studio. Design sound: Musicians can create music on their computer—synthesizing melodies, mixing sounds, arranging samples, and more. The tool has 19 built-in instruments, 16 built-in synthesizers, and a MIDI keyboard that most musicians love. In addition, it boasts of advanced routing capabilities and an FX mixer with unlimited channels that brings diverse effects to help musicians enrich their production. A built-in visualization and spectrum analyzer make mixing of effects more intuitive. From a creative perspective, the bundled-in content that musicians now have access to includes over 1000 built samples.

How to use LMMS?
While music editing through any software would need a course of its own, if you understand the basics of LMMS, it wouldn’t be a tough job.
LMMS allows you to upload and manage multiple tracks at once. The tracks could be a combination of songs, background music, your own voice, and a lot more. The audio can be uploaded from the side menu as shown in the image below:
Once you have downloaded the tracks, you can rearrange and edit them using the Song Editor panel. Though LMMS is free open-source software, it has most editing options in the Song Editor window.
