The internet is full of unnecessary things, and they eventually get you one way or another if you are grubby while browsing the web. That is why Microsoft Edge includes more than just a Tracking prevention option to secure the users. One of the best security measures included in Microsoft Edge is Enhanced security. However, if you want to enable the Enhanced security exception in Microsoft Edge, here is how you can do that.
Apart from installing an internet security suite and enabling Tracking prevention facilities, you need to know about Enhanced security. There are mainly two modes – Balanced and Strict. In case you don’t know it lets you add an additional layer of security, block security threats, etc.
Let’s assume that you enabled this setting in the Microsoft Edge browser, but you do not want to activate it for all the websites. In that case, you need to make an exception. If you trust a website and know that there is no threat on that website, you can add it to the Exceptions list. Lucky for you that Microsoft Edge comes with such an option, which lets you create an exception for desired websites.

To get started, open the Microsoft Edge browser on your computer, click on the three-dotted icon visible on the top-right corner, and select the Settings option.
Then, switch to the Privacy, search, and services option on the left side and find out the Enhance your security on the web option. Then, you need to toggle the corresponding button to turn it on and select a security level. For your information, you can set exceptions for either mode.
If you set the level of security to Strict mode, then it may result in blocking a website(s) that it may find potentially harmful. So, if you face any problem while browsing, then you should keep the security level in Balanced mode. In addition, you should also set Tracking prevention to a Balanced level.
Once done with the security level selection, click the Exceptions option.
Then, click the Add a site button on the next page.
Now you need to enter the website URL in the box and click the Add button.
It will be added to the Exceptions list immediately. If you want to remove a site from the list, select the site and click the three-dotted icon. Following that, select the Remove option.
