- Snap groups: Snap together at least 2 app windows on your screen. Hover over one of these open apps on the Taskbar to find the snap group and click to quickly switch back.

How to disable Snap Layouts on Windows 11 when you hover over Maximize button
To disable Snap Layout when you hover over Maximize button on Windows 11, follow these steps:
- Open the Windows Settings.
- Select System
- Go to Multitasking.
- Turn off the Show snap layouts when I hover over a window’s maximize button box.
Let’s now see the above steps in detail:
To get started, open the Windows Settings first. For this, click on the Start button, type Settings, and press the Enter key.
Inside the Settings app, select the System Category and then click on the Multitasking tab, available in the left pane.
On the right, uncheck the box next to the Show snap layouts when I hover over a window’s maximize button option to disable it.
To enable it, you have to select this box. When you do this, open your browser and hover over the maximize button. You will see different layout technique options for arranging the current page with other apps.
You can also turn off Snap Layouts in Windows 11 when you drag a window to the top

Open Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Create a DWORD (32-bit) and name it EnableSnapAssistFlyout and give it a value of 0.
The DWORD 32-bit settings for the EnableSnapAssistFlyout value are:
- To Enable Snap Assist Flyout – 1
- To Disable Snap Assist Flyout – 0
This way you can enable and disable Snap Layouts on your Windows 11 computer system.

How do I completely turn off Snap windows feature?
To completely turn off Snap windows feature in Windows 11, press Win+I to open Windows Settings. Then, go to System > Multitasking. After that, toggle the Snap windows button to enable or disable Snap Layouts. It is also possible to tweak various settings by expanding the Snap windows section.
