Apart from registry issues, it also occurs because of the problem with the installation services. Follow these suggested fixes:
- Run Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter
- Troubleshoot Windows Installer
- Enable Trusted Installer
Microsoft suggests reporting the issue if it’s happening for the first time. You need also to execute these suggestions as an administrator.
1] Run Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter
If the error occurred while updating Edge, it’s a good idea to run to use Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter. The program will fix corrupted registry keys on 64-bit operating systems, keys that control the updated data.
It will also fix the problems that prevent new programs from being installed, existing programs from being completely uninstalled or updated, and issues that block you from uninstalling an application through Add or Remove Programs
2] Troubleshoot Windows Installer
The problem is also related to Windows Installer. If the Microsoft tool is not able to resolve the installer issue, we suggest you manually fix it. There are two solutions to this.

3] Enable Trusted Installer
TrustedInstaller.exe is a process of Windows Modules Installer service in Windows 10. Its primary function is to enable the installation, removal, and modification of Windows Updates and optional system components. Follow this guide, and make sure it in auto mode.
