Turn on Visual effects for sound using Control Panel
To turn on Visual effects for sound using Control Panel:
- Open Control Panel
- Open Ease of Access Center
- Locate Use text or visual alternatives for sounds
- Select Turn on visual notifications for sounds (Sound Sentry)
- Select the setting you want under Choose visual warning:
- None
- Flash active caption bar
- Flash active window
- Flash desktop
- Click Apply and restrt your computer.
Turn on Visual Alerts for Sound using Registry Editor
Open Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\SoundSentry
On the right-side, change the value of Flags as required:
- 0 = None
- 1 = Flash active title bar
- 2 = Flash active window
- 3 = Flash entire display
Close REGEDIT and restart your PC to make the chnages take effect.
