How to activate PayPal Cash on MasterCard
The PayPal Cash MasterCard can be used at ATMs and point-of-sale machines. To activate your PayPal Cash MasterCard follow these steps:
- Go to the PayPal site
- Log in with your credentials
- Enter your card’s expiration date
- Create your secret pin
- Add money
1] Go to the PayPal site
In this step, you will go to the PayPal website to activate your PayPal Cash MasterCard. The website is www.paypal.com/activatecard. When you enter the website, you will automatically be rerouted to the login page.
2] Log in with your credentials
When you are at the PayPal login page, enter the credentials that you have for your PayPal account.
When the credentials are entered you will move on to the next step.
3] Enter your card’s expiration date
When you have entered your PayPal credentials and press login, you will be taken to your PayPal balance home showing your balance, You will see the PayPal Cash MasterCard that you ordered. Click on it and you will see more information about the card.
Click Activate and you will be prompted to enter the Card’s expiration date. When you have entered the card’s expiration date, press the Activate Card button.
4] Create your secret pin
In this step, you will be asked to create a secret pin and then confirm the secret pin.
Create a pin that is hard for others to guess but one that is easy for you to remember. When you have entered and confirmed the Pin press the Create Pin button.

5] Add money
When you have created the pin successfully, you will get a confirmation that the card is now active.
You will also get the option to add money to the card now or choose to add money later. You can also select the option to Get an email whenever you use the card.

My MasterCard won’t work with PayPal
Your MasterCard may not work with PayPal if the address you have on PayPal and the address you have with your card issuer is not the same. If you are sure that they are the same, you should contact your card issuer to see what is the problem. It could be that the address is not yet updated after you have changed it after a move.

- Enter the card’s expiry date

How do I lock or unlock my PayPal Cash Card?
If you cannot find your PayPal cash card and you want to lock it just to be sure it cannot be misused, you can lock the card. when you have located the card, if you want to unlock it you may do so. To lock or unlock the card do the following:
- Go to PayPal.com
- Click Wallet
- Click the card you want to lock or unlock
- Toggle On or Off.
