1] Insert a video in Google Docs via a link
Videos can be added to Google Docs with a link. Now, we must note that the video or videos must already be uploaded and saved to your Google Drive account. Let us explain what needs to be done here.
Open your web browser and go to the official Google Drive page.
Sign in with your official Google account if asked to do so.
From there, click on the New button at the top-left corner of the screen.
The next step is to click File Upload, then select the required video.
Click the Open button to have the video uploaded to Drive.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the video from a folder.
Now that the video is uploaded to your Google Drive account, please right-click on the video and select Share > Copy Link.
Now, return to your Google Docs account.
Once there, you can open a document previously created, or launch a new one.
Press the CTRL + V keys to paste the copied link into the document.
Press the Enter key or the Spacebar on your keyboard.
If the video URL is too long, you can hyperlink it to an existing text in the document.
Do this by highlighting the text, and then press CTRL + K.
Paste the video link, then hit the Apply button.
When you click on the video link, a preview will appear.
You will see an option that reads, Replace URL with its title.
Click on Yes.
From now on, whenever a person clicks on the video, will open in a new tab.
