Using Green Screen is a part of our cinema. I can’t even imagine what would have happened to all those Marvel and DC movies if Green Screens were not available. It allows you to add visuals and special effects to the editing table. In this post, we will see how you can add Green Screen in Clipchamp.
What is a Green Screen? How is it different from Chrome Key?
When making a movie, a green screen is added to the background. This screen is there to act as a blank canvas upon which the editing team can draw to make sense of that scene. The color green is specifically used out of all the colors because it is furthest from human skin tones which makes it easier for editors to separate the background from the foreground. The whole process is called Chrome key compositingas these two items are superimposed on one another depending on the color ranges of those items.
