How to cancel Scheduled Email in Outlook

There are times when you might want to cancel scheduled emails in Outlook. Whether you use the desktop app or the web version, there are ways to cancel a scheduled email within moments.

Outlook is one of the best email clients for Windows users, allowing users to use almost any email service available in the market. Among many features and facilities, scheduling email is probably the best since you can send an email at a predefined time without being near your computer.

How to cancel Scheduled Email in Outlook

To cancel a scheduled email in Outlook, follow these steps:

1. Open the Outlook app on your computer.
2. Go to the Drafts folder.
3. Open the scheduled email you want to cancel.
4. Click on the Delete/Discard button.
5. Click the OK button.

Before getting started, you must know that this method works when you do not want to send the email at all. In that case, you can simply delete it.

To get started, open the Outlook app on your computer and go to the Drafts folder. For your information, Outlook transfers it to the Drafts folder whenever you schedule an email.

The scheduled email is in that folder. To open it, click the Delete or Discard button.

It should be visible on the right side of your window. Alternatively, you can hover your mouse over the email after opening the Drafts folder, and click on the same icon visible on the right-hand side. Or, you can select the email by ticking the checkbox, and click the Delete button in the top menu bar.

Then, click the OK button on the confirmation window.

Once done, your scheduled email will be removed, and you can find it in the Deleted Items folder.

How to cancel scheduled email in Outlook by sending it now

To cancel a scheduled email in Outlook you may send it right away, by following these steps:

1. Open the Outlook app on your PC.
2. Switch to the Drafts folder.
3. Open the previously scheduled email.
4. Click on the Send button.

Before you start with the steps, you should know that this process will send the email immediately instead of following the predefined time.

First, you need to open the Outlook app on your PC and switch to the Drafts folder.

Here, you can find all the previously saved emails. You need to open the desired scheduled email and click on the Send button.

The email will override the timing and be sent immediately.
