Microsoft Edge allows users to print a page directly from the browser. When you print a page from Microsoft Edge, it shows you the print preview before saving the page as a PDF. After saving the page as a PDF, you can print it easily. This article shows how to change the print page setup in Microsoft Edge before printing or saving it as a PDF.
How to change the Print Page setup in Microsoft Edge
To change the print page setup in Microsoft Edge, go through the following instructions:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Open the web page you want to print.
- Select the required printer in the drop-down or leave it to the default option, Save as PDF.
- Change its print settings from the left pane in the Print Preview window.
I have explained all these steps in detail below.
First, open Microsoft Edge and then open the web page you want to print in Microsoft Edge. Click on the three dots on the top right side and select Print or press the Ctrl + P keys.
The Print Preview window will open in Microsoft Edge. Now, on the left pane, you can change the page layout from Portrait to Landscape and vice versa. You can also select all or a specific number of pages you want to print or select the pages in even and odd numbers.
Now, click on the More Settings link to expand more options for the print page setup. Here, you can select the Paper size, such as Letter, A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, etc. You can also change the Scaling percentage. In the Margins drop-down, you can select No or Minimum margins. You can also enter the Custom margins for your print page or leave this option to the default value.
Further in the Options section, you can select whether you want to print the page with Headers and Footers or without the Headers and Footers. Check or uncheck the Background graphics box as per your requirements.
When you are done, click on the Save button to save your print page as a PDF. After saving it as a PDF, you can print it from any printer.
The above page setup options are for the Save as PDF option in Microsoft Edge. You may get more page setup options if you select a default printer in Edge. For example, you can print the page in Color or Black and White by selecting the Microsoft Print to PDF option.
This is all about changing the print page setup in Microsoft Edge.
