How to change Slide Layouts in Google Slides
There are three methods in which you can change the slide layout of your slides.
1] Select the slide that you want to change to a different layout
Click the Slide tab, hover the cursor over Apply Slide, and select a slide layout.

2] Select the slide that you want to change.
Then, right-click the slide, hover the cursor over Apply Slide, and select a slide layout from the menu. The Layout of the slide is changed.
3] Select a slide.
Below the menu bar, click the Layout button, then select a layout from the menu.
What is the default slide Layout?
In Google Slides, the default slide layout is the Title slide; it consists of a text and subtitle placeholder. It is the first slide within the presentation and one of the most important slides when creating a presentation. How do I change the Layout of all slides at once?
In Google Slides, you can change multiple slides into the same slide layout at once. Follow the steps below.
- Hold your Shift key down, then select the slides that you want to change to the same layout.
- Then click the Slide tab, hover the cursor over Apply Slide, and select a slide layout.
- All the slides that you have selected will have the same layout.
