How to create a Heart Shape in PowerPoint
Follow the steps below to make a Heart Shape in PowerPoint.
- Launch PowerPoint.
- On the Insert tab, select a rectangle from the shape Gallery.
- Draw the rectangle on the slide.
- Draw the circle on the rectangle and align it on the right edge of the rectangle.
- Copy the circle and drag the copied circle to the opposite side of the rectangle.
- Hold the Shift key and select both circles and the rectangle, then click the Shape Format tab.
- Click the Shape Outline button, then select No Outline.
- Click the Merge Shapes button and select Union.
- Rotate the heart upright.
- Click the Shape Fill button and choose a color.
Launch PowerPoint.
Go to the Insert tab and select a rectangle from the shape Gallery.
Now, draw the rectangle on the slide.
Go back to the Insert tab and insert a circle from the menu.
Now, draw the circle on the rectangle and align it on the right edge of the rectangle.
Press Ctrl D to copy the circle and drag the copied circle to the opposite side of the rectangle. The bottom of the rectangle should look like a Triangle. See the Photo above.
Now hold the Shift key and select both circles and the rectangle, then click the Shape Format tab.
Then click the Shape Outline button, then select No Outline from the menu.
The outline of the shapes will disappear.
Now, click the Merge Shapes button and select Union from the menu to combine the shapes as one.
Rotate the heart upright.
While the heart is still selected, click the Shape Fill button, and choose a color.

- Select the heart shape.
- Go to the Shape Format tab, select the Shape Fill button, and select Picture from the menu.
- An Insert Pictures dialog box will open.
- Choose the source where you want to get the picture from. In this tutorial, we choose to get the picture from Online Pictures.
- In the Search Bar, please search for the picture you want, select it, then click Insert.
