Cloud PC restore points can be manually created both singly and in bulk. In this post, we will show you how to manually create & restore Cloud PC Restore Point in Windows 365 successfully.
Create a manual Cloud PC restore point in Windows 365
You can create a single Cloud PC restore point in Windows 365 by following the steps below. It may take up to an hour or more for the new restore point to appear in the list of restore points. If a restore point already exists for this Cloud PC it will be overwritten by the new restore point.
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
- Navigate to Devices > All devices > Select a device > Restore points.
- Select Create Restore Points (preview) > Yes.
To create multiple manual restore points in bulk in Windows 365, follow the steps below. It may take up to an hour or more for the new restore points to appear in the list of restore points. If any of the selected Cloud PCs already have a restore point, the existing restore points will be overwritten.
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
- Navigate to Devices > All Devices> Bulk Device Actions.
- On the Basics page, select the following options:
- OS: Windows
- Device action: Create Cloud PC manual restore point (preview)
- Select Next.
- On the Devices page, choose Select Devices to include.
- In the Select devices, choose the Cloud PCs that you want to create manual restore points for > Select > Next.
- On the Review + Create page, confirm your choices > Create.

Restore Cloud PC in Windows 365
To restore a single Cloud PC to a previous state, follow the steps outlined below:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
- Navigate to Devices > Windows 365 > All Cloud PCs.
- Choose the Cloud PC to restore.
- Select Restore (preview) > Under Select restore point, select the point that you want to restore the Cloud PC to > Select.
- In the confirmation dialog box, select Restore.
On the All Cloud PCs page, you will see the status of the device will change to Restoring until it’s complete.
To bulk restore multiple Cloud PCs to a previous state in Windows 365, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
- Navigate to Devices > All Devices> Bulk Device Actions.
- On the Basics page, select the following options:
- OS: Windows
- Device type: Cloud PCs
- Device action: Restore
- Specify date and time: Choose a date and time. This setting defines the time that you’d like to restore the Cloud PCs. The following options will help determine strictly which convert point that will be used.
- Select restore point time range: Choose one of the following options:
- Before the specified date and time: If you choose this option, the Cloud PCs will be restored to the closest restore point before the date and time you specified.
- After the specified date and time: If you choose this option, the Cloud PCs will be restored to the closest restore point after the date and time you specified.
- Whichever is closest (before or after the specified date and time): If you choose this option, the Cloud PCs will be restored to the closest restore point to the date and time you specified.
- Select Next.
- On the Devices page, select the Cloud PCs that you want to restore > Next.
- On the Review + Create page, confirm your choices > Create.
You will see the status of each of the devices on the All Cloud PCs page will change to Restoring until the procedure is complete.
