Choose the Brave backgrounds option first. For your information, it displays periodically. On the other hand, if you want to use a custom image, you can click on the Upload from device option and choose an image that you like.
Brave Stats
The new tab page of Brave browser displays the number of trackers/ads blocked by the browser, the amount of saved bandwidth, and time. However, if you do not want to display all those things, you can open this tab and toggle the Show Brave Stats button to turn it off.
Top Sites
Like Chrome and Firefox, Brave browser also displays a list of sites that you visited the most. If you want to display that list, you can keep this setting on. However, if you do not want to show the list, you need to toggle the Top Sites button to turn it off. On the other hand, you can choose the Favorites option and add custom websites to the list.
Brave News

Next, choose what you want to read. In case your desired sites are not appearing, you can search for the site and add it manually.
