If you want to enable or show the Firefox Bookmarks toolbar only on the New tab page, here is what you have to do. Here is the whole process you have to follow.
Firefox is one of the best browsers for Windows 10. From managing multiple accounts to managing bookmarks – everything is possible in the Mozilla Firefox browser. Like Google Chrome and most of the other browsers, Firefox also lets users bookmark pages to open them later. However, there is a problem. Although you can get the bookmark toolbar, it shows on all pages. Some folks like to get it everywhere, but some of them don’t.
Enable Firefox Bookmarks toolbar only on New tab page
To enable Firefox Bookmarks toolbar only on the New tab page, follow these steps-
- Open the Firefox browser on your computer.
- Type about:config in the address bar and press the Enter button.
- Click on the Accept the Risk and Continue button.
- Search for
browser.toolbars.bookmarks.2h2020
. - Double-click on it to make the status true.
- Right-click on the title bar of Firefox and select Bookmarks Toolbar.
- Choose Only on New Tab.

At first, you will have to open the Firefox browser on your computer. Next, type about:config
in the address bar and hit the Enter button. It shows a warning message. Click on the Access the Risk and Continue button.
After opening the Advanced Preferences window, search for browser.toolbars.bookmarks.2h2020
. By default, it is set to false. Double-click on it to set it as true.
Note: If you are not getting this setting in the Advanced Preferences window, make sure you have the latest version of Firefox browser. If not, click on the menu button and select Help > About Firefox. Next, it will search for available updates. You might have to restart the browser to get the effect.
After that, right-click on the title bar of the Firefox browser. You will see an option called Bookmarks Toolbar. Select it and choose the Only on New Tab option.
From now onward, you will find the bookmarks toolbar only on the new tab page. If you want to disable it or show the toolbar on all pages, press Ctrl+Shift+B or choose the Always option from the Bookmarks Toolbar menu.
