Find and Craft Netherite Spawn in Minecraft
Netherite is rare and exclusive to the Nether. To find it, mine Ancient Debris blocks between Y=8 and Y=22 with a Diamond Pickaxe. The sweet spot is at Y=13 to Y=15.
Use one of the following methods to mine Ancient Debris blocks.
- TNT Mining: Use TNT to clear blocks around Ancient Debris. Use a Diamond Pickaxe to mine it after clearing.
- Bed Mining: No TNT? Use a bed! Beds explode in the Nether if you try to sleep, making them a great substitute for TNT in mining. Do keep in mind to wear protective armor to not endure any harm during the explosion of the bed.
- End Crystal Mining: Last but not least, let us talk about End Crystal. Shoot an End Crystal with a bow from a safe distance to destroy it. But it’s an expensive method as End Crystals are rarer than Netherite.

To prepare Netherite, extract it from Ancient Debris while mining. You can use the methods mentioned below to prepare Netherite.
- Place Ancient Debris in the top slot, add fuel to the bottom slot of the Furnace menu. This will create a Netherite Scraps.
- Now, open the Crafting Table, and add 4 Netherite Scraps and 3 Gold Ingots to craft as the layout provided in the screenshot to get 1 Netherite.
- To upgrade your weapon or gear with Netherite Ingot, place it on the right slot of the Smithing Table along with the weapon or gear you want to upgrade placed on the middle slot. Place the Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template on the left slot and you’re done!

Does Netherite spawn naturally?
In Minecraft, you won’t be able to find blocks of Netherite naturally. To get Netherite, you need to smelt Ancient Debris in a Furnace. The only place where Ancient Debris appears is in the Nether, and you can only mine it with a Diamond Pickaxe. Check out the guide mentioned earlier to know more.

Netherite spawns exclusively in the Nether and requires a Diamond Pickaxe. Netherite mostly appears in the Y-axis between 8-22, but it can also spawn in 8-119. However, it most appears between Y=13 and Y=15.

What is the best Y level for Netherite?
Y=15 is the best Y level for Netherite, although mining at lower levels offers a lower risk of mining into a lava ocean.
