Google Slides is a presentation program that is included as a part of the web-based Google Docs Editor suite. Sometimes, when you want to exclude certain data from your audience without deleting the data, you can hide the slide in Google Slides.
How to hide slides in Google Slides
Follow the steps below to hide slides in Google Slides:
- Locate the slide that you want to hide.
- Right-click the slide
- Select Skip Slide from the context menu.
- The slide is hidden.
There are two methods you can use to hide slides in Google Slides.
Method 1:
On your Google Slides presentation, locate the slide that you want to hide, right-click the slide, then select Skip Slide from the context menu.
Now the slide is hidden. You will see a cross-out eye which means it is invisible.
Method 2:
Click the slide that you want to hide.
Click the Slide tab and select Skip Slide from the menu.
The slide is hidden.
You can also hide multiple slides by holding the Shift key, then right-click and select Skip Slide from the menu.
If you want to unhide the slide, right-click the hidden slide and select Unskip Slide from the menu, or click the hidden slide, click the Slide tab, and select Unskip Slide from the menu.

Follow the steps below to share Google Slide as a view.
- Name your Google slide.
- Click Share on the right.
- A Share ‘Untitled Presentation’ dialog box will open.
- Under the General Access section, click the drop-down button and select the option ‘Anyone with the link.’
- Now click the drop-down arrow and select Viewer.
- Go to Settings in the top right corner of the dialog box.
- When the Settings dialog box appears, uncheck the check box for ‘Editors can change permission and share.
- Enable the check box for the option ‘Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print and copy.’

How do I lock a slide in Google?
In Google Slides, you can lock objects onto a slide using the master slide; follow the steps below.
- Open your Google Slide presentation.
- Click the Slide tab, then click Edit Theme from the menu.
- Right-click any of the layouts and select Duplicate Layout from the menu.
- Paste any of the objects that you want to lock on the duplicate layout. By duplicating the slide, you are creating a copy of the slide to edit.
- When you are finished editing the layout, click the Close button on the top right.
- The objects will be locked, which means that the objects cannot be deleted or moved without making changes to the master slide.
