To open the MIME email in Outlook, follow these steps:
- Open the email with the MIME format.
- Select all text.
- Open Notepad and paste the MIME-formatted email in it.
- Delete all text before the email header
- Save the file by adding the .eml file extension to the file name.
- Double-click the file you saved earlier to open it.
- Your email management software will open the file, interpreting it as a standard email.
- You can now read MIME format email easily.

Open the ‘MIME format email’ you received from.
Highlight all the text to select it, by pressing Ctrl+A.
Next, open a text editor like Notepad.
Right-click the empty space in the Notepad and choose the Paste option.
Before attempting to save the file, delete all text before the email header (The headers including the From and To fields).
Now, save the file by adding the .eml file extension to the file name.

How to open MIME attachments in Outlook
You can follow any one of the following methods.
1] Use a MIME opener software
During instances where you try to open a MIME file on your PC, you may be prompted with a message requesting How do you want to open this file?
When you see this message, you need to use a program like WinZip. Then, you can extract and decompressing MIME records and view the contents of the file or read it. Simply, select all the files and folders inside the compressed file.
Click 1-click Unzip under Unzip/Share section and choose the Unzip to PC option.
Then, select a destination folder to place the extracting files and click ‘Unzip’ button.
