How to set up Recurring Reminders in Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams does not have a built-in reminder feature like Outlook to remind you of tasks, meetings, or calls. So if you want to set up recurring reminders In Microsoft Teams for something important, here’s what we recommend you do:
- Using the Outlook calendar
- By setting up manually
- Through a reminder app (Business Basic)
1] Using the Teams calendar
While there’s no built-in reminder feature in Teams, you can use the built-in Calendar app to set meeting reminders. Here’s how:
In the Teams app, click on the Calendar app on the left.
Next, in the Calendar, click on New Meeting.
Here, fill in the details like Title, Attendees, Date, Time, Location, and Description.
Now, next to Date and Time, click on the drop-down that says Does not Repeat and select the frequency. For example, select from Every Weekday (Mon-Fri), Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Custom.
Once done, click on Save.

But if you want to add a Reminders tab to a channel or group chat in Teams, you can use the integrated apps for this purpose. However, this feature is available only for the Business Basic users and above. So, if you are using the free Teams account, you won’t have access to the apps.
S0o, if you have the Microsoft Teams Business Basic account and above, click on the Apps icon on the left menu at the bottom.
Next, on the right, type in Remind in the search box and hit Enter.
Now, click on Add to install the desired app, for example, Remind, Snooze Bot, etc. to add the app to your chat or channel.
Once done, go back to the chat or channel in Teams where you want to set the reminder, click on the ellipsis and select More Actions.
Next, select the option, Remind me about this and here, set the date and time when you want the reminder to recur.
The app will send you a chat message confirming that the reminder is set up successfully.
Now, to set up recurring reminders in Microsoft Teams using a set template, type the below command in the Chat box:
@Remind [what] [when]
For example, write @Remind first. Then followed by this, write what you want the remnder for and when. It could be a frequency also.
So, it can be something like: @Remind attend meeting at 3pm.
Next, click on Send and now you and others will see the reminder at the time you set it for.

How do I send a recurring reminder to a team in Outlook?
To send a recurring reminder in Outlook, create a new email and click on Options. Net, select Delay Delivery. Under the Delivery options, check thee box next to Do not deliver before, set the date and time, and then click on Recurrence to specify the reminder frequency. Once done, send it to the team.
