Copilot is an AI assistant in Windows 11 that helps you with multiple tasks. On Windows 11, you will find Copilot on the right side of the Taskbar (just next to the notification area). This article shows how to use Copilot to create PowerPoint presentations on Windows 11.
How to use Copilot to create PowerPoint presentations on Windows 11
If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can add Copilot to Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft 365 applications. After adding Microsoft Copilot to PowerPoint, you can use it in PowerPoint. What if you do not have a Microsoft 365 subscription? In this case, you cannot use Copilot in PowerPoint. Instead, you can use the Copilot app on Taskbar to create PowerPoint presentations. Here, we will show you how to use Copilot to create PowerPoint presentations on Windows 11.
Use the following instructions:
- Open the Copilot app on Windows 11.
- Write prompts related to your PowerPoint presentation.
- Break the answer of Copilot and give each answer as a prompt to Copilot (if required).
- Use Copilot to generate images for your presentation.
Type prompts to generate your PowerPoint presentation
To create a PowerPoint presentation by using Copilot without a Microsoft 365 subscription, you need to type prompts in the Copilot application. For example, you can directly ask Copilot to create a presentation on your topic. Let’s say, you want to create a presentation on Biofuels, you can type the prompts like:
- Can you please help me create a PowerPoint presentation on Biofuels?
- Please create a PowerPoint presentation on Biofuels.
Suppose you cannot find a suitable title for your PowerPoint presentation, you can ask Copilot to generate some topics for your presentation. Now, you can select a topic from the list generated by Copilot and ask Copilot to create a presentation on that topic.
Break the answer of Copilot and give each answer as a prompt to Copilot.
If you want to create a more detailed presentation, you can try this trick. First, generate an outline of your presentation by Copilot. After that, select each title from the answer generated by the Copilot and then give a prompt to the Copilot to create a brief presentation on that title.
Use Copilot to generate images for your presentation.
Images are an important part of a PowerPoint presentation. You can use Copilot to generate images for the slides in your presentation. For example, you can type the following prompt to generate the title slide:
Please create an image for title slide presentation on Biofuels.
You can also modify your prompt after Copilot generates the images. For example, you can write “Can you add some text to the image?” The generated images may contain incorrect spellings. Hence, if you get such images, you can ask Copilot to generate images again. Microsoft Copilot uses Microsoft Designer to generate the images from prompts.
You can also modify your prompt like:
Create an image for title slide presentation on Biofuels. Use professional style with green and other relevant colors.
After generating images, click on the image and it will open in Microsoft Designer in the Edge browser. Here, you can download or customize the image. If you do not like the images created by Copilot, you can use Microsoft Designer.
In this way, you can use Microsoft Copilot to create professional-style PowerPoint presentations without a Microsoft 365 subscription.
That’s it. I hope this helps.
