- View or configure notifications
- Unlock your phone without touching it
Let us talk about them in detail.
1] Share content directly from the app
Who doesn’t like the convince of sharing content directly from their phone to their computer and vice-versa? Well, I certainly do. If you receive any item in the Samsung Flow mobile app from other devices, you can easily share it with other apps. Simply long-press on the item within the app and select the Share button. Then choose the app where you want to use it. Or, select the item you want to send, and then forward it to your computer.
2] Copy your content to the clipboard
To sync text or links between your PC and Android phone, you can use the clipboard feature of Samsung Flow. To use it, you need to enable it first. Once enabled, you can copy text on your mobile device and paste it anywhere on your PC, and vice versa. To activate it, click the clipboard icon at the top of the Samsung Flow app. The icon will turn blue when the clipboard is enabled.
3] Mirror your phone
When you activate the screen mirror, your entire mobile phone display will be replicated on your computer screen. You can then use your computer to control your phone. To activate the screen mirror feature, simply click on the Smart View icon located at the top of the screen. A new window will open, displaying your mobile phone’s screen.
To change the screen resolution of your mirror screen, launch the screen mirror from Smart View, go to Settings, and then change resolution.
4] View or configure notifications
When you go to the Notification tab in the Samsung Flow app, you will be able to see all your notifications and configure it from there. Let us talk about some of the things you can do from the Notification tab on the Samsung Flow app.
- Remove unnecessary notifications: One would seldom find their notification panel filled with only the necessary notifications. To remove redundancy and unclutter your notification panel, we can remove the unnecessary notifications. For that, click on the All drop-down box at the top of the Notifications tab and select the app of your choice.
- Reply to notification vanished from the live preview: If an application is removed from the live preview section, you can reply to it using the Samsung Flow app. First, select All from the drop-down list, go to the vanished message, and then select it. Finally, enter what you want to reply to and click on Send.
- Declutter your notification: Samsung Flow syncs phone notifications to your PC. To dismiss notifications directly from your PC, open Samsung Flow on your PC, go to Notifications, click Delete, and select the notification you want to dismiss. The notification will also be removed from the Flow PC app history.
- Turn off app-specific notifications: If you are fed up with the constant arrival of notifications you don’t want in your notification panel, just disable notifications for that particular application. To do the same, open the Flow mobile app, press on the three-dot icon and then go to Settings. Access Manage Notifications and turn off app notifications you don’t want to receive by toggling the switch next to them.
That’s how you can manage your notifications using the Samsung Flow app.
5] Unlock your phone without touching it
Some might see it as a security risk, whereas, some would cherish the fact that they can unlock their phone without even touching it. With the help of the Windows Screen Unlock feature, one would be able to do the same. To use the Windows screen unlock feature in the Flow app, follow these steps:
- Open the Samsung Flow PC app and click on the three-dot icon at the top.
- Select “Settings.”
- Turn on the toggle switch for Windows screen unlock.
