Manjora Linux is a user-friendly distribution based on Arch Linux. It aims to provide all the benefits of Arch Linux with an easier installation process and a more user-friendly experience. In this post, we are going to install Manjora on VirtualBox on Windows 11/10.
Install Manjora on VirtualBox on Windows 11
If you want to install Manjora Linux on VirtualBox on Windows 11/10, follow the below steps.
- Download and install VirtualBox
- Download Manjora Linux distros
- Create the virtual machine
- Configure the machine
- Install Majora on the virtual machine
Let us talk about them in detail.
1] Download and install VirtualBox
First of all, we are going to download the VirtualBox from virtualbox.org. Then, go to the Download folder and run the installer. Once the installer launches on your computer, you need to follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation. After the installation steps are completed, you need to launch the application and move on to the next step.
2] Download Manjora Linux distros
Now that we have installed VirtualBox, let us go ahead and download the OS image that we are going to mount. To do so, you need to navigate to manjora.org and then click on the Download icon. You will see a list of images that you can get, go through their given description, and then download the one you like. Once you have downloaded the ISO file, go ahead and create the virtual machine.
3] Create the virtual machine
Now that we have the virtual machine software as well as the OS image, let us go ahead and create the virtual machine where we are going to install the OS. To do so, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.
- Open VirtualBox.
- Now, click on the New icon placed at the top of the window.
- You will get a Create virtual machine wizard, where you need to enter the name of the virtual machine, specify the folder where you want to store it, set Type as Linux, Subtype as Arch Linux, and then Version as Arch Linux (64-bit). Click on Next.
- We need to set the Hardware. You need to set this field according to your computer’s physical resources. However, it is always recommended to allocate at least 2 GB of memory and 2 or 3 CPUs so that the machine runs without lag. Click on Next.
- Tick Create a Virtual Hard Disk Now, set the disk size, and click on Next.
- You need to finally got through the Summary, make sure that everything is as per your preference, and click on Finish once satisfied.
After you are done creating the machine, go to the next step to configure the machine.
4] Configure the machine
You may have noticed that we didn’t specify the OS image when creating the machine; that is because we are going to do it now. You need to make a few more changes.
- In VirtualBox, right-click on the virtual machine and select Settings.
- Go to the Storage tab and then click on the + icon right next to Controller: SATA.
- Now, click on the Add icon, navigate to the location where you have stored the ISO file, and then select it.
- You can save the changes.
- Go to the Display tab, click on Expert, change the Graphics Controllers to VboxSVGA, and then click on Ok.
Once done, move on to the installation.
5] Install Manjora on the virtual machine
Finally, we are good to install Manjora OS on the virtual machine. To do so, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.
- Right-click on the virtual machine and select Start > Normal Start.
- If you want to make any changes to Manjora’s settings, use the arrow keys to go their, and then select that option.
- After making the changes, you need to boot, you can either go with Boot with open source drivers or Boot with proprietary drivers.
- Finally, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Depending on your system’s resources, you can set up Manjora as you like.

How to install Linux in VirtualBox Windows 11?
To install Linux in VirtualBox on Windows 11, first download and install VirtualBox from the official website. Then, download the Linux ISO file of your choice (such as Ubuntu or Manjaro). Open VirtualBox and click “New” to create a new virtual machine. Follow the prompts, selecting the downloaded Linux ISO as the boot disk. Allocate enough RAM and storage space for the virtual machine, then start it. Once done, you can boot your machine and follow the on-screen steps.
