If Intel Wireless AC 9560 is not working with Error Code 10 on your Windows 11/10 PC, you can try our recommended solutions below in no particular order and see if that helps to resolve the issue.
- Run Network Adapter Troubleshooter
- Disable and Re-enable Wireless Adapter

- Turn on WLAN AutoConfig service
- Use ethernet (wired) connection or external Wi-Fi USB dongle
Let’s take a look at the description of the process involved concerning each of the listed solutions.
Before you proceed with the solutions below, restart your PC and make sure Wi-Fi is enabled (just in case, you can fix Wi-Fi is turned off & won’t turn on) on your PC (some laptops come with a hardware switch). Remove any hardware you may have added to the computer prior to the error message or run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter as there could be a device causing a hardware conflict or compatibility issues. Also, check with the OEM to be sure the Intel wireless network adapter is compatible with your current version/build of Windows, and update Windows if need be.
1] Run Network Adapter Troubleshooter
To fix the Intel Wireless AC 9560 is not working with Error Code 10 on your Windows 11/10 PC, you can run the inbuilt Network Adapter Troubleshooter.
To run Network Adapter Troubleshooter on your Windows 11 device, do the following:
- Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
- Navigate to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Under the Other section, find Network Adapter.
- Click Run button.
- Follow on-screen instructions and apply any recommended fixes.
To run Network Adapter Troubleshooter on your Windows 10 PC, do the following:
- Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
- Go to Update and Security.
- Click the Troubleshooter tab.
- Scroll down and click on Network Adapter.
- Click the Run the troubleshooter button.
- Follow on-screen instructions and apply any recommended fixes.
2] Disable and Re-enable Wireless Adapter
The error in view could have occurred due to a ‘glitch’ in Windows. In this case, you can simply disable and re-enable the Intel AC-9560 wireless adapter on your system. Alternatively, you can simply reset the Wi-Fi Network Adapter – the outcome will be the same.
3] Update or Reinstall Network Adapter driver
This solution requires you to manually update the Network Adapter driver via Device Manager if you have already downloaded the .inf or .sys file for the driver, or update the driver via Command Prompt. You can as well get the driver updates on the Optional Updates section under Windows Update or you may also download the latest version of the driver from the Intel website.
If updating the wireless network adapter driver wasn’t helpful, you can perform a clean installation of the driver. Uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the device is not the same as simply updating the driver. A full driver reinstall involves completely uninstalling the Wi-Fi adapter driver currently installed on your system, restarting your PC and letting Windows scan for hardware changes, and automatically reinstalling the generic driver for the Wi-Fi device. Alternatively, on boot, you can download the latest version of the driver from Intel and install the Wi-Fi driver on your device.

4] Turn on WLAN AutoConfig service
You may encounter the error in view if the WLAN AutoConfig service isn’t started or turned off or the Windows Wireless Service is not running on the local computer. In this case, to resolve the issue, you need to turn on the WLAN AutoConfig service.
To turn on the WLAN AutoConfig service on your Windows 11/10 PC, do the following:
- Press Windows key + R to invoke the Run dialog.
- In the Run dialog box, type services.msc and hit Enter to open Services.
- In the Services window, scroll and locate the WLAN AutoConfig service.
- Double-click on the entry to edit its properties.
- In the properties window, click the drop-down on the Startup type and select Automatic.
- Next, make sure the Service status is started and running.
- Click Apply > OK to save changes.
- Exit Services console.
- Restart PC.
5] Use ethernet (wired) connection or external Wi-Fi USB dongle
This is more of a workaround than a solution – assuming the Wi-Fi adapter in question is faulty, you can use an ethernet (wired) connection if you’re willing to give up the convenience of connecting to the internet via Wi-Fi. But, if that’s not an option you’re willing to explore, you can have a PC hardware technician attempt a repair or replace the inbuilt Wi-Fi adapter or you can opt for a USB Wireless Adapter Dongle you can attach via a USB port on your computer.
On the other hand, if you’re positive that the Wi-Fi adapter isn’t the culprit here, you can reset Windows 11/10 and see if the issue will be resolved.

Is error code 10 a hardware issue?
The error code 10 is not necessarily a hardware issue. You will see it in the Device Manager for any of the hardware devices. If you see this error in Device Manager, your hardware device may or may not be damaged. Most commonly, the error code 10 occurs due to a driver failure. Reinstalling the driver fixes this issue.
