Why is my keyboard typing the wrong keys?
One of the common reasons for this issue is the outdated or corrupted keyboard drivers. Hence, we suggest you update the drivers and see if it helps. You can also download the latest keyboard driver from the manufacturer’s website and install it on your system. But before running the installer file, you have to uninstall your current keyboard driver from the Device Manager.
How do I reset my keyboard on a Windows PC?
The simplest way to reset the wired keyboards is to move your preferred language to the topmost position in the Control Panel. The primary language is always displayed at the top. If there is only one input language, add another language, then move your primary language down and then move it up again. This will reset your keyboard settings to default.
If you do not find the Language option in the Control Panel, you can reset your keyboard from the Settings app.
Windows 10 users have to follow the steps below:
- Launch the Settings app.
- Go to “Time & Language > Language.”
- Select your language under the Preferred language section and click on the Move up button.
- If your preferred language is already on the top, first, move it down and then move it up. Alternatively, you can also try removing your primary language, then adding it again, and then moving it to the top.
This will reset your keyboard on Windows 10.
Windows 11 users have to follow the below-listed steps:
- Launch the Settings app.
- Go to “Time & language > Language & region.”
- Select your preferred language and click on the three horizontal dots.
- Click on the Move up button. If your language is already on the top, move it down and then move it up again. Or you can remove your preferred language, then add it again, and then move it up to make it the primary language.
This will reset the keyboard on Windows 11.
