1] Display Brightness may not respond to adjustments
Microsoft along with Intel have unearthed a driver compatibility issue with certain Intel Display Drivers. The error starts appearing only after updating to the Windows 10 v1903. The UI element shows that brightness has been changed, but the changes are not actually applied.
2] Audio not working with Dolby Atmos Headphones and home theater
Microsoft has warned that you may experience loss of audio with Dolby Atmos for home theater or Dolby Atmos for headphones. This error is apparently due to a licensing configuration error. However, the configuration error will not result in loss of access for the acquired license once the problem is solved.
3] Duplicate folders and documents showing in the user profile
This issue affects select folders like Desktop or Downloads. When user redirects from one location to another, they may see empty folders in the default location after the upgrade.
4] Error attempting to update with the external USB device or memory card attached
This is a classic error. If you have an SD card or an external USD device while installing Windows 10 version 1903, you will be greeted with an error message. “This PC can’t be upgraded to Windows 10.” To safeguard users, Microsoft has applied a hold on devices with an external USB device or SD memory card attached.
5] Unable to discover or connect to Bluetooth devices
Microsoft has detected compatibility issues with some driver versions for Bluetooth components supplied by Realtek and Qualcomm. Currently, a hold has been issued, and if your computer has the affected Bluetooth Radio, then you won’t be able to update.
6] Night light settings do not apply in some cases
According to Microsoft, the Night Light setting is not working in some use cases. The Night Light setting stops working when you connect PC to an external monitor, dock or projector. Furthermore, the Night Light setting also stops working while rotating the screen or updating display drivers/ making any other changes related to display mode.
7] Intel Audio display an intcduaud.sys notification
A certain range of Intel Display Audio device drivers is found to cause excessive battery drain issue. You may also see “What needs your attention” notification while updating to the Windows 10 1903. This means you have an affected driver and it is better you postpone the update.
8] Cannot launch the Camera app
The Cannot launch camera app is affecting Intel RealSense SR300 and Intel RealSense S200 cameras while using via the Camera app. The error reads as follows, “Close other apps, error code: 0XA00F4243.” In order to enhance your update experience, Microsoft has applied a protective hold on machines with RealSense S200 cameras.
9] Intermittent loss of WiFi connectivity
This issue only affects older computers with an outdated Qualcomm driver. Downloading and installing the latest driver update should ideally solve this issue.
10] AMD RAID driver incompatibility
“A driver is installed that causes stability problems on Windows. This driver will be disabled. Check with your software/driver provider for an updated version that runs on this version of Windows”. This particular error is caused by an incompatibility issue with AMD RAID driver versions lower than 9.2.0.105
11] D3D applications and games may fail to enter full-screen mode on rotated displays
Because of the D3D error, some of the applications and games will fail to enter full-screen mode. The error is more likely with displays where the display orientation has been changed from the default.
12] Older versions of BattlEye anti-cheat software incompatible
Microsoft has detected a compatibility issue with some games that use older versions of BattlEye anti-cheat software. This clash might cause the computer to crash.
All but the first 3 issues have been mitigated or resolved. Microsoft is still investigating the first 3 issues and will roll out patches for them soon.
