1] Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
Because the problem is happening with Microsoft Store apps, Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter can fix it. You will find this troubleshooter in Windows 11/10 Settings.
The following steps will help you run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter on Windows 11:
- Open Settings.
- Go to “System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.”
- Scroll down and locate Windows Store Apps.
- Click Run.
In Windows 10, open the Settings app and go to “Update & Recovery > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters.” Scroll down and select Windows Store Apps. Click on the Run the troubleshooter button.
2] Delete the files inside the LocalCache folder
Sometimes the problem appears due to the corrupted apps’ cache. Deleting the LocalCache files can fix the issue. Go through the following steps to delete the LocalCache files:
- Press Win + R keys to launch the Run Command Box.
- Type %userprofile% in the Run command box and click OK. This command will open your user profile folder in File Explorer.
- Open the AppData folder. If you do not find the AppData folder there, it is hidden. In this case, you have to unhide the hidden files and folders.
- Now, open the Local folder and then open the Packages folder.
- Scroll down and locate Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder. Once you find it, open it.
- Inside that folder, you will find the LocalCache folder. Open it and delete all the files it contains.
- Restart your computer.
Now, open Microsoft Store App’s Library and see if the problem persists. If yes, try the next solution.
3] Reset Microsoft Store
If deleting the files inside the LocalCache folder did not work, you have an issue elsewhere. Now, try another solution which is to reset Microsoft Store. When it comes to resetting the Microsoft Store, you have the following two choices:
- Reset Microsoft Store via Windows 11/10 Settings
- Reset Microsoft Store via Command Prompt
Those who are not tech-savvy can reset the Microsoft Store easily from Windows 11/10 Settings. What you have to do is open Windows 11/10 Settings app and go to “Apps > Apps & features.” Now, find the Microsoft Store app and click on the Reset button.
Another way to reset Microsoft Store is to execute the wsreset.exe
command in an elevated Command Prompt: Simply open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type the wsreset.exe command and press Enter.
Do note that resetting the Microsoft Store will also delete your sign-in details. Therefore, you have to log in to the Store again after resetting it.

4] Uninstall and Reinstall Microsoft Store via Windows PowerShell

Click on Window Search and type Windows PowerShell. Right-click on Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator. Click Yes in the UAC prompt.
Copy the following command and paste it into Windows PowerShell. Press Enter.
Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage
After the execution of the above command, copy the following command and paste it into Windows PowerShell. After that hit Enter.
Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
After the execution of the above command, restart your computer. This should fix the problem.
