- Navigate to this key – \Cryptography\Calais\Readers.
- Create a new DWORD (32-bit) value.
- Name it as RetryDeviceInitialize.
- Double-click it and enter the value as 1.
- Restart your PC.

Type Regedit.exe in the empty field of the box and hit Enter.
When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to the following path address –
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\Calais\Readers.
Switch to the right-pane, right-click and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) value.
Name it as RetryDeviceInitialize.
Double-click the entry to edit its value and in the Edit String Value box that appears enter the value as 1.
Restart your PC.
