Monster Hunter World is a popular action role-playing game (RPG) available on multiple platforms, such as PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. However, even though the game is available in multiplayer, it does not support cross-platform play. This means that if you are on Xbox and your friend is on PlayStation, you cannot play together. Hence, a common question that many gamers have is whether Monster Hunter World cross-platform is going to be available.
Why is the Monster Hunter World cross-platform not available?
Monster Hunter World cross-platform won’t have cross-platform support. The game was initially published in 2018, and over the years, the developers have shown zero interest in introducing cross-platform support. While Monster Hunter Wilds does not offer cross-platform support, its company, CE Europe Limited, is developing a brand new game called Monster Hunter Wilds, which will be released in February 2025.
The best part is that the latest title will have cross-play support across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Are there any special events planned leading up to the release of Monster Hunter Wilds?
Yes, in anticipation of the release, Capcom is hosting a crossover event in Monster Hunter Now. Starting February 3, 2025, players can participate in the MH Wilds Collab Event I to earn a Monster Hunter Wilds Gift Code, redeemable for in-game items like Mega Potions and Dash Juice in Monster Hunter Wilds. The event concludes on March 31, 2025.
