- Open Settings by Win + I.
- Go to Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for “Microsoft Store”.
- Windows 11: Click on the three dots and then click on Advanced Options.
- Windows 10: Click on the app and click on Advanced Options.
- Scroll down and click on Repair.
- Wait for a few seconds, but if the issue is not resolved, click on Reset.
There is an alternate method for resetting the MS Store. To do so, open Run (Win + R), type “WSReset.exe,” and click on OK.

3] Start Windows Update Services
There are many services on your computer responsible for updating the Microsoft Store and its environment. 4] Change the date and time
After restarting the services, we are going to change the date and time of our computer manually, you can also for the automatic option, but we would recommend you do it manually. So, right-click on the date on your taskbar and click on Adjust date and time. Disable Set time zone automatically and set the correct time zone manually, disable Set time automatically and set it correctly. Finally, reboot your computer and see if the issue is resolved.
5] Disable Metered Connection
As evident from the error message, the Microsoft Store has detected the presence of a Metered connection and is not ready to process any downloads. So, if you can afford to, turn off the Metered connection. For this, go to Settings > Network & internet > WiFi, then click on your connected network to go to its properties, and then disable the Metered connection toggle. Finally, check if the issue is resolved.
6] Disconnect VPN or Proxy
If you are connected to a VPN or Proxy network, MS Store is probably unable to find its server due to the disparity in the location of your account and that of your device. So, we recommend you disable any VPN or Proxy if you are connected to one and check if the issue persists.
