1] Update your BIOS
Let us start with a solution that doesn’t involve making changes to the BIOS; instead, we will update it. In case the issue is a result of outdated BIOS, this will do the job for you. 2] Turn off Fast Startup
Fast Startup allows your computer to start quickly. However, it is notorious for causing issues during the booting process. Since your computer boots twice, Fast Startup could be at fault. We can disable it from the Control Panel. Do keep in mind, that disabling the feature can make the booting process slightly slow, and once Microsoft releases an update addressing this issue, you can re-enable Fast Startup. To disable Fast Startup, follow the solutions mentioned below.
- Search out “Control Panel” from the Start Menu.
- Navigate to System and Security > Power Options.
- Select Choose what the power buttons do.
- You then have to click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Disable Turn on fast startup (recommended).

3] Stop using an overclocking app

5] Make changes to your BIOS settings
Now, let us check your BIOS configuration to know if they are configured correctly. There are various BIOS settings that can force your system to boot twice. So, first of all, boot into BIOS firmware. Now, check the following BIOS settings and ensure they are configured as instructed.
- Internal PLL Overvoltage – Disabled (Under AI Tweaker or Extreme Tweaker tab).
- Power on By PCl-E – Enabled (Under Advanced > APM Configuration).
- ErP Ready – Disabled (Under Advanced > APM Configuration).
- Ai Overclock Tuner – Auto (Under AI Tweaker or Extreme Tweaker tab).
- Launch CSM – Disabled (Under Boot).

6] Reset BIOS
