A Video is the system of recording or broadcasting moving visual images, and Audio is the reproduction of sounds typically by electronic means. Microsoft Excel is usually used to organized data and use formulas to calculate data, but do you also know that you can play videos and audios in Excel worksheets?
How to play Video in an Excel sheet
Click on the Developer tab. If you do not see the developer tab right-click on the standard toolbar, click on Customized the Ribbon; an Excel Options dialog box will pop up.
In the Excel Options dialog box on the customize the ribbon section on the right. Click the check box of the Developer tab, then OK. You will see a developer tab in the menu of the worksheet.
On the Developer tab, click Insert; in its drop-down menu, select More Controls. A More Controls dialog box will pop up.
Scroll down and select Windows Media Player, then OK.
The Design Mode will turn on, and you will see a plus sign on the worksheet. Drag the plus sign across the worksheet; you will see a Windows Media Player application.
Right-click on the Window Media Player application, then click on Properties.
A Properties window pane will pop up on the left side. Where you see Customs on the right with the three dots, click on it. A Windows Media Player Properties dialog box will appear.
In the Windows Media Player Properties dialog box, click on browse. An Open window will appear; select your video from your files, then click Open.
On the Windows Media Player Properties dialog box, click OK.
Click Design Mode to play the video. You will see your video play.
To expand the video, double-click the video or right-click the video, or select Zoom; you will see options for your video to be zoom; click Full Screen your video will be full screen.
To control the video’s volume, right-click the video. Click Volume; you will see the options UP, Down, and Mute or select the Audio Button on the video’s bottom.
You can also play speed the video by right click the video, then select Play Speed. It will show you options such as Fast, Normal, and Slow. Fast will speed up your video, Normal play your video normally, and Slow play your video slowly.
You can stop, play, and pause the video by right click the video and select Play or Pause and Stop or on the bottom of the video. Click the Play Button or the Stop Button at the bottom of the video.
To remove the video. Click Design Mode.

How to play Audio in Excel worksheet
After you remove the video, you will see an empty box, right-click then select Properties.
A Properties window pane will pop up on the left side. Where you see Customs on the right with the three dots, click on it. A Windows Media Player Properties dialog box will appear.
Click Browse. In the Open window, choose your audio, then Open.
In the Windows Media Player Properties dialog box, click OK.
To play audio, click Design Mode. You will see and hear your audio playing.
To expand the video, double, click the audio or right-click the video select Zoom; you will see options for your audio display to be zoom; click Full Screen the audio display will be full screen.
To control the volume of the audio, right-click the audio display, then click Volume. You will see the options UP, Down and Mute or select the audio button on the video’s bottom.
You can also play speed the audio by right click the audio display and select Play Speed. It will show you options such as Fast, Normal, and Slow. Fast will speed up your audio, Normal play your audio normal, and Slow play your audio slowly.
You can stop, play, and pause the video. Right-click the video and select Play or Pause and Stop or on the bottom of the video. Click the Play or Pause Button or the Stop Button at the bottom of the video.
