Realtek Audio Console or Control might look universal but is exclusive to your system. If you have a DCH Driver, Microsoft Store will be able to find the Realtek Audio Console for you; if not, you will not be able to find the application. In this post, we will discuss why Realtek Audio Console is missing from the Microsoft Store and how to get it back.
Why is Realtek Audio Console not showing up?
The absence of the Realtek Audio Console in the Microsoft Store could be due to the absence of DCH Drivers. These drivers are responsible for installing and managing apps and were introduced to simplify installation and maintenance through the Windows Update service, so their lack can cause the problem.
Additionally, temporary glitches in the Microsoft Store Install Service may also be plausible contributing factors to this equation. Another possibility is that search errors or temporary glitches within the Microsoft Store could hinder the Realtek Audio Console from appearing in the search results. In the next section, we are going to see how to fix this
Realtek Audio Console missing from the Microsoft Store
If Realtek Audio Console is missing from the Microsoft Store, first of all, click on apps.microsoft.com to download the utility. If the link is not working, here’s how to retrieve it.
- Install DCH Drivers
- Restart the Microsoft Store Install service
- Repair/reset the Microsoft Store
Let’s get started.
1] Install DCH Drivers
The first and foremost step in this troubleshooting guide is to install DCH (Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support) Drivers. These drivers ensure that the Realtek Audio Console can be properly recognized and managed through the Microsoft Store. Without these updated drivers, the system might not support the necessary components or configuration required for the Realtek Audio console to be available, installed, and function properly.
- Click on the Windows key to open the search bar, search, and open Device Manager, and then go to the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers section.
- Now, scroll down to find Realtek Audio (it may have a different name such as Realtek High Definition Audio), right-click on it, and select the Uninstall device option.
- Follow the same procedure for all the Realtek Devices in the Audio inputs and outputs and software components.
- Once done, head to the official NVIDIA website or your device manufacturer, and select the Operating system.
- Next, choose other details from the drop-down menus, and download the DCH Driver installer file.
- Once the download is completed, run the installation file by locating the file, and double-clicking on it. Complete the follow-ups and on-screen prompts to finish the installation procedure.
After all the aforementioned steps are done, reboot the PC, and then head to the Microsoft Store to check whether the Realtek Audio Console is visible or not.
2] Restart the Microsoft Store Install service
The next solution is to restart the Microsoft Store Install services. It is recommended because this service manages the installation and update process for all the apps, so if it is malfunctioning or experiencing temporary glitches, users may experience apps not displaying errors. Hence, we are going to restart the services to clear out any cache and rule out any potential errors.
- Click Win + R to open the Run dialog box, type services.msc, and then hit the Enter button.
- Scroll down to find the Microsoft Store Install Service, and double-click on it to go to the Properties section.
- Now head to the General tab, in the Startup type, click on the drop-down menu and select the Automatic option followed by clicking the Start button.
- Lastly, click the Apply and OK buttons to start the process.
Move to the next solution if this doesn’t achieve the desired efforts.

3] Repair/ reset the Microsoft Store
There can be underlying problems within the store itself, preventing it from functioning correctly. In this solution, we will repair the Microsoft Store using the Windows Setting. We will first repair the store, and go for the Reset option, as doing the latter procedure reinstates the Microsoft Store to its default settings. Here’s how to do the same:
- Click the Win + I keys to open Settings.
- Go to the App tab, and then click on Installed apps or Apps & features.
- Scroll down to find the Microsoft Store app, and then click the three vertical eclipses button beside it. On some of the latest versions of Windows 11, to find Microsoft Store, you will have to click on System Components.
- Select the Advanced options and then hit the Repair button.
After the repair process is done, wait for some time, restart the PC, and hopefully, the problem will be resolved. If not repeat the same procedure, only click on the Reset option instead of Repair.
