How do you sign into Gmail without signing into Google Chrome? How to use Chrome without signing in? When you log into any Google service – say Gmail, AdSense, etc, you will find that you are automatically signed in to your Chrome browser.
Earlier, Chrome used to log into the browser if users signed into any Google web service and offered no way out – but Chrome now offers a setting that you can change. If you do not want this happening, you can disable this behavior.
Sign into Google sites without signing into Chrome
To sign in to Google services like Gmail, etc, without signing in to Google Chrome, do the following:
- Launch Chrome browser
- From top-right, open Settings
- From the left, click on Privacy and security
- On the right side, select Sync and Google services
- In the next panel, toggle the Allow Chrome sign-in switch to OFF position
- Restart Chrome.
You can even directly visit the following URL to reach the setting:
chrome://settings/syncSetup
By turning this off, you can sign in to Google sites like Gmail or Adsense without signing in to Chrome
You will notice that now when you sign into another Google site, you will not be signed into Chrome.
