Live in a place where mosquitoes harass you to no end? Maybe you want to take a break from the chemical repellents! Try driving away mosquitoes with ultrasonic waves. I had seen them on mobile phones but came across a couple that claim to work on Windows PCs too.
Anti Mosquito repellant apps for Windows PC
Mosquito Protect and Tolak Nyamuk are two apps that emit high-frequency sounds that repel insects. Let us take a look at them.
1] Mosquito Protect Microsoft Store app
Mosquito Protect is an electronic pest repellant that emits ultrahigh ultrasonic frequencies of 1 to 25 kHz, to protect yourself against mosquitoes, flies, mice, fleas, rats, cockroaches, etc.
This is achieved through the individually adjustable ultrasound frequencies of Anti Mosquito Protect Repel. Simply switch on Mosquito Protect, and the protection is ready – in the kitchen, the dining room, the bedroom, the children’s room, and throughout the whole house.
After Mosquito Protect is switched on, Mosquito Protect emits a barely perceptible ultrahigh tone!
You can download it from the Microsoft Store.
2] Tolak Nyamuk
Tolak Nyamuk is an electronic insect repellent. It is specifically a computer application to drive away mosquitoes.
This application generates high-frequency ultrasonic waves, frequencies that are not easily heard by human ears but are sensitive to certain animals, such as mosquitoes, that often interfere in front of your computer.
This application is capable of producing high frequencies with a range between 20KHz to 32KHz. For the wave frequency to be produced, your computer should have speakers installed.
When you run the application, you will hear a low tak-tak sound. You can download it from Softpedia.
NOTE: Doubts are expressed that such apps do not work. Please read the comments.
There are many sound and tone generator programs available on the internet for Windows PCs. Download and use one of them. If you need to set up the frequency manually, set it around 50 Hz, which is said to be good for repelling mosquitoes.
Let me know if it’s working for you!
