How to Sync Tabs between different Browsers
To sync tabs between browsers, open any browser (Edge, Chrome, or Firefox) and
- Install Tab Session Manager extension
- Click on the extension on the toolbar
- Then, click on the gear icon
- Scroll down to name the device
- Set the interval to save the session
- Enable cloud sync using Google account
- Give permission to save data on your Google Drive
Let’s see the process in detail.
Open Google Chrome or any browser you use and install Tab Session Manager extension from the extension store. After the installation, click on the extension on the toolbar.
Then on the extension tab, click on the Gear icon to access Tab Session Manager settings page.
On the Settings page of Tab Session Manager, scroll down to find Save device name to session and check the box beside it to enable it. Then, enter the name of the session to remember it easily in the text box beside Device name.
Again, scroll down to the Auto save section and set the time interval to save the session regularly. It is by default set for 15 minutes. You can change it to your requirement.
Then, scroll down to the Cloud Sync section and click on the Sign in with Google button.
It will open an overlay window to Google account sign-in. After signing in, give permissions to save the data on Google Drive. Then, the Session data will be successfully saved onto your Drive.
To access the same session on a different browser or different computer, just install the Tab Session Manager extension and sign in with your Google account. You will find Sessions with the names you set. Click on the session to load on that browser.
You can delete sessions anytime and update the settings anytime. If you are using the extension to sync tabs on a public computer, don’t forget to delete the Tab Session Manager extension and other data on the computer.
