The gameplay allows different types of races from the simple practice session, up to the championship and features a simple damage model, collisions, wheel properties, aerodynamics, etc.
You can steer using a steering wheel or a joystick if your computer supports the device. However, you can also drive the cars using the mouse or the keyboard.
The simulation features a simple damage model, collisions, tyre and wheel properties, and aerodynamics. It also lets you race against up to three other friends in the split-screen mode!
This free, multi-platform Open Racing Car Simulator can be used as an ordinary car racing game, as an AI racing game, and as a research platform too. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, FreeBSD, and Linux.
