Windows Defender or Windows Security is the last line of defense where Windows 11 and Windows 10 are concerned, so whenever it fails, things will likely go wrong in more ways than one. In order to make sure your computer is secure, we suggest constantly checking if Windows Defender or Windows Security is in good form. Now, recently a computer user was complaining about an error he or she came across in Windows Security/Windows Defender. The error in question is as follows:
Your Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization.
This is the error that comes up instead of the regular scanning options, so what now? It’s pretty difficult to tell what is the cause of the issue here, but we can make a few summaries in order to come up with a fix.
What we need to do here is return Windows Security to its traditional form where all options are showing. In its current state, the user cannot scan for viruses, so right away, we can be certain the Windows 11/10 computer is severely compromised.

Can IT Admin fix this Managed by your organization problem?
If your Laptop is part of an organization, you need to connect with the IT admin and ask them to remove the computer from the organization list. It will transfer all the control, including the Windows Security app, to your account, and this error will not show up anymore. However, if it’s not part of anything, then the registry change should help.
