Some of those who have upgraded to Windows 11/10 are facing several Windows problems and issues. They could range from Wi-Fi not working, Search not working, Settings not opening, Start Menu or Taskbar not working, Windows Store not working, some Windows Store app not opening, and so on. If you are looking for some Windows 11/10 Support and Solutions to fix your problems, read on.
For most of these problems, there are some basic things you need to do. Follow these suggestions and chances are very high that most of your problems will be resolved. While these five will fix most of your Windows problems and issues, if you need specific troubleshooting advice, do follow the links to the several solutions I have mentioned here, at the end of this post.
Windows 11/10 Support and Solutions
Before you commence, make sure that your Windows 10 is updated with the latest updates. Having done that, create a system restore point and move on.
Most Windows 11/10 problems can be solved by carrying out the following tasks:
- Run System File Checker to replace corrupted system files with good one’s
- RunDISM to repair corrupted Windows system image
- Re-register the Microsoft Store apps
- Reset Windows Store cache
- Use Reset This PC.
Let us take a look at them.
1] Repair corrupted Windows system files
Some of your files could have got corrupted as a result of which Windows 11/10 is not working the way it should.
From the WinX Menu, open Command Prompt (Admin), type the following and hit Enter to run the System File Checker.
sfc /scannow
This will scan your PC and replace your corrupted system files with good ones. Restart after the scan is over.

2] Repair corrupted Windows system image
Run the DISM tool to repair a possibly corrupted system image. To repair Windows Image, open an elevated command prompt, type the following and hit Enter.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Restart after the scan is over and see if it helped.
3] Re-register the Microsoft Store and apps
Search for ‘PowerShell’ in taskbar search, select Windows PowerShell from the results, right-click on it and choose Run as administrator. This will run PowerShell as an administrator.
Now type the following and hit Enter.
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
This will re-register Windows Store Apps.
4] Reset Windows Store Cache
Open Command Prompt as an administrator, type WSReset.exe, and hit Enter. This will clear and reset the Windows Store Cache.
NOTE: Windows 10 users may want to download FixWin. It automates these fixes and lets you resolve issues in a click!
5] Use Reset This PC
There is now a new way to refresh Windows, and it is called Fresh Start! Fresh Start in Windows Defender Security Center in Windows 11/10 will let you easily reinstall your Windows operating system without removing your data & personal files, and some settings.
Alternatively, you could use Reset this PC option.
If you need additional help, search for your problem using the Search Bar in the right sidebar. Chances are high that you will find the solution.
I am also posting some additional links here for your ready reference:
If you need additional help, you could use the built-in Contact Support app, get help from Microsoft Store or contact Windows Support.
TIP: To access Windows Help and Support, press the Start button and then select the gear-shaped Settings icon. In Settings, navigate to “System,” followed by “Help & Support.” This section allows you to search for help topics or explore help categories related to Windows. To speak with Microsoft support, log into the Microsoft 365 admin center using your admin account and navigate to Support > New service request. For immediate assistance, call Microsoft support at (800) 865-9408 (toll-free in the US). Ensure you have your admin credentials ready for faster service.
All the best!
My PC has two users. While on user is able to use the mail app in windows 10 the other user is unable to use the app. It would simply not work. Can some one help me with it.
Create a new User Account. See if it works there. If so move everything there and delete the old one.
I was just thinking on the same thing. Now that I have a more experienced adviser mentioning the same. I guess that should be right. Thanks a ton
Whenever I create a family members account (standard account), and logout to use it, a circle keeps on spinning saying please wait. This carries on for idk how much time. Please help!
That works to get access to the Start Menu, Notifications, Edge and Cortana. Neither that nor any of the above suggestions have been able to make Windows Store apps (or the Windows Store itself) load.

Installed win10 on my laptop without any problems, and works nicely. Then installed win10 on my dell 2020 desktop, worked well to the point of signing in, then the screen keeps jumping around on the desktop screen, and cannot do anything, tried restarting. shutting down, and cannot do anything, what do I do now? Can anyone help? Thank You, Claude
I found that the Start menu and taskbar would work with some users and not others on the same PC. Deleting users (keeping files) and recreating them and restoring files worked. But copy back contents of default folders not the folders themselves.
Hi, when I try the third part of the above solution (Re-register the Windows Store and apps), most of the steps will result in the type of error below. FYI, the first two steps (repair system files and image) ran smoothly but didnt resolve my taskbar problems including problems with start button, search button, wifi, speakers, notification and time.
Please help. At wits end.

should I touch the pc keyboard faceplate with my wrist or palm while typing a document, different things happen that I DO NOT want to happen. 1) it reduces the size of the font to the point I can’t read it. I want to shut off the keyboard touch portion of the faceplate. 2) same problem, different results. While typing a document, should my wrist or palm touch somewhere (I don’t know exactly where) it sometimes totally erases what I typed and nothing I know to do restores my writing. I WANT TO FIX THIS, ASAP!!
Just now, while writing this note, my screen size just enlarged without my selecting it.
Steps 1 + 2 + 3 MADE IT WORK!
THANK YOU!

On occassion we do something to cause the desktop to suddenly magnify like going from 100% to say 125%. We are in our late 60’s now and are not experts but also not novices either. To correct we do a shutdown and restart and all is fine again. This works but it would be better if we knew how to fix this without shutting down. Any ideas?
I can’t load a program CD on to lap top. It says the directory name is invalid please help
