Fix Wuthering Waves Verifying file integrity stuck at 0
If Verifying file integrity is stuck at 0 % in Wuthering Waves on your Windows 11/10 PC, follow the solutions mentioned below.
- End unnecessary processes and wait for the verifying file integrity process to complete
- Set Wave Launcher to high Priority in the Task Manager
- Check your Internet Connection
- Allow Wuthering Waves through Windows Firewall
- Verify integrity in the Clean Boot state
Let us discuss them in detail.
1] End unnecessary processes and wait for the verifying file integrity process to complete
Since Wuthering Waves needs to use system resources in order to verify files, it has it wait for other running processes to terminate. However, we suggest you terminate them manually. To do the same, open the Task Manager, right-click on processes manually, and then select End Task. Once you have enough resources – CPU and Memory, just wait for the process to complete.
2] Set Wave Launcher to high Priority in the Task Manager
If you don’t want to kill other system processes, they start back up, or terminating them didn’t do the trick for you, just give more resources to the most important process, Wave Launcher in this case. To do the same, open the Task Manager, go to the Details tab, right-click on wuthering waves launcher.exe, and set it to High Priority. Finally, check if the issue is resolved, if not, end the current verifying process and retrigger a new one. It will do the trick.
3] Check your Internet connection
In order to verify the game files, the Wuthering Waves launcher might use the Internet as well. So, we recommend you use one of the free Internet speed testers to know your bandwidth. If the bandwidth is low, reboot your router, and then if that doesn’t work, contact your ISP.
4] Allow Wuthering Waves through Windows Firewall
Your firewall can block some of the functioning of the launcher as a result of which, it might just fail to access the game files let alone verify it. In order to resolve this issue, we recommend you allow the program through the Firewall. To do the same, follow the steps mentioned below.
- Open Windows Security from the Start Menu.
- Go to Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall.
- Click on Change Settings.
- And then allow Wuthering Waves through both Private and Public networks.
Hopefully, this will do the job for you.
5] Verify integrity in the Clean Boot state
Security programs aren’t the only applications that could have hindered verifying the game files. Some other apps can interfere with the process and cause issues. To resolve this, we recommend you open the system in Clean Boot, but make sure not to disable any process related to the Wuthering Waves launcher and the game. Then, run the integrity of game files. If it works, enable processes manually to find out what’s causing the problem and then remove the problematic service.
That’s it!
